Full Court Coaching is designed for emerging talent, semi-professionals, and elite players as well as the coaches, teams, and organisations who develop them. The pillars work at every level because the fundamentals of human performance are universal.
Every Full Court Coaching engagement is built across five pillars grounded in sport psychology, motivation science and behavioural research. They work as a reinforcing system where each pillar compounds the others.
Every engagement begins with alignment across the player, coach, and organisation and builds across the full season with structured checkpoints, reviews, and renewal.
Full Court Coaching offers structured programs for individuals and tailored partnerships for clubs and organisations ready to build a genuine high-performance culture.
Talent opens doors. Professionalism, detail, and identity are what keep you there. The players who sustain excellence have always understood this.
Cohan McDermott has had an extensive basketball career, playing at state and national level, spending time in the SEABL with NW Tasmania Thunder, and being exposed to high level performance environments at domestic, national and international levels. Alongside that, he has spent twelve years in professional human development, working with people through career transformation and identity change. Full Court Coaching brings those two backgrounds together.
“I don’t work with players to make them better at basketball. I work with them to make them better professionals, which makes everything else, including basketball, better.”
Cohan McDermott, FounderWhat Full Court Coaching offers is not a generic development program. It is a structured, evidence-based, season-long partnership built around the specific goals, habits, and professional identity of every individual we work with. The five pillars apply at every level of the game because the fundamentals of human performance are universal. What changes is the context, the pace, and the application, and that is where the coaching relationship does its real work.
Full Court Coaching works with a deliberately small number of players, coaches, and clubs each season to protect the quality of every engagement. Spots are limited and filled by direct conversation.
